Delete Your Account
You have the right to request erasure of your personal data at any time in accordance with Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains how to exercise that right and what happens to your data when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from the WeeshWay app. Follow these steps:
- Open the WeeshWay app
- Go to Profile
- Tap Account
- Tap Delete Account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Upon confirmation, your account will be deactivated immediately and you will be signed out. The deletion process begins right away — all eligible data will be permanently and irreversibly erased from our systems within 30 days of your request, in accordance with GDPR requirements. Most data is removed within hours.
Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. Once confirmed, your account cannot be recovered.
What Happens When You Delete
The following actions are taken automatically once you confirm deletion:
- Your account is deactivated immediately — you will no longer be able to sign in and your profile will no longer be visible to other users.
- All your upcoming classes are canceled and enrolled students are refunded in full.
- Your eligible bookings are refunded according to our Cancellation & Refunds policy.
- Any pending Stripe payouts will continue to be processed. You will still receive any earnings owed to you for completed classes.
- Any open reports or disputes you initiated will be closed and cannot be reopened. Content moderation records related to reports filed against your account may be retained separately in accordance with applicable platform obligations.
- All your uploaded media (profile photos, videos, report attachments) will be permanently removed from our storage.
- Your profile, classes, wishes, recommendations, and music preferences will be permanently deleted.
What Data Is Retained (and for How Long)
Certain data is retained after account deletion to comply with legal and financial obligations. The legal basis for this retention is Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (compliance with a legal obligation).
- Anonymized booking records (payment amount, currency, status) — retained for up to 7 years to comply with applicable accounting and tax regulations. These records are stripped of personal identifiers.
- Stripe account data — retained by Stripe until all pending transactions, payouts, and disputes are fully resolved. This is managed by Stripe under their Privacy Policy.
All retained data is stored securely and is not used for any purpose other than legal compliance.

You may also request a copy of your personal data before deletion by emailing contact@weeshway.com. We will respond within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Articles 15 and 20.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority under applicable law.
