Delete Your Account

You have the right to request erasure of your personal data at any time in accordance with Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This page explains how to exercise that right and what happens to your data when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly from the WeeshWay app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the WeeshWay app
  2. Go to Profile
  3. Tap Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Upon confirmation, your account will be deactivated immediately and you will be signed out. The deletion process begins right away — all eligible data will be permanently and irreversibly erased from our systems within 30 days of your request, in accordance with GDPR requirements. Most data is removed within hours.

Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. Once confirmed, your account cannot be recovered.

What Data Is Retained (and for How Long)

Certain data is retained after account deletion to comply with legal and financial obligations. The legal basis for this retention is Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR (compliance with a legal obligation).

All retained data is stored securely and is not used for any purpose other than legal compliance.

If you are unable to access the app or need assistance with account deletion, contact us at contact@weeshway.com. We will process your request within 30 days in accordance with GDPR requirements.

You may also request a copy of your personal data before deletion by emailing contact@weeshway.com. We will respond within 30 days in accordance with GDPR Articles 15 and 20.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority under applicable law.
